After a long wait the Avet MXJ 5.8 Avetstar Star Drag Reel is finally here! Anglers have been waiting for Avet to release a star drag reel and they haven't disappointed. Like all Avet reels it's 100% made in the USA. The Avetstar is based on the popular G2 with an all aluminum body, stainless steel gears and eight sealed ball bearings. The aluminum star wheel is ergonomic and easy to adjust to the prefered drag pressure. The narrow spool holds 470 yards of 50 lb braid, which is perfect for bottom fishing, jigging and slow jigging for a wide variety of powerful saltwater fish. Avet has included their best in class anti-reverse system that gives you the confidence that no matter what hits your line, the Avetstar will continue to perform at the highest level.
