In anticipation of the 2015 March 14th opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen to Kanazawa, JR East and JR West jointly developed this new Shinkansen train (with JR West-owned cars being W7 series). It boasts improved braking performance over previous models and a system configuration that supports both 50Hz and 60Hz. It was initially introduced as 'Asama' on the Tokyo to Nagano route from March 14, 2014, and later operated as 'Kagayaki', 'Hakutaka', and 'Tsurugi' on the Hokuriku Shinkansen after its opening. This set includes a leading car (12th car) and a middle car (3rd car), with stickers included. It features a NEW SG frame and comes with bonus parts for the 11th car's roof and side. By combining four A sets (sold separately) and four B sets, you can enjoy a full formation, with some parts for cars 6 to 10 being interchangeable with other cars.
